Project 1841

Project 1841 is a non-profit organization that is partnered with Child-Net and is dedicated to packing bags for children aging out of the foster care system. Brianna has been involved in project 1841 since 8th grade and has recently taken on the role of the leader of the group, hosting all the packing sessions at her house and coordinating with Child-Net. Through their efforts, we have raised thousands of dollars, have collected several donations, and have packed countless bags for these kids. Transitioning from foster care to the real-world is a very difficult process, but these girls' hard work has made this journey a bit easier. We were recently published by our local news paper The Parklander, allowed us to spread awareness of our cause and raise over $2,000. Check out our article on pages 14-16 to learn more about us.

Dance Marathon

For the past three years, Brianna has been involved in her school's Dance Marathon. Her 11th and 12th grade years, she has been elected Co-Morale Chair where her and her co-chair choreograph the line dance that is presented at the main event each year. Brianna has raised over $250 by herself and plans to raise more this school year and in college. Last year her school raised over $18,000 and they hope to raise even more this year. Their money has gone to support their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Nikolaus Children's Hospital in Miami and has allowed them to improve their medical equipment and child-life. Brianna plans to continue being a part of Dance Marathon in college and hopes to leave a lasting impact on her community.

Certification

UF Healing With The Arts Certificate

Screenshot 2025-08-18 170513.png

In UF Healing with the Arts, I learned how creative expression can support mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The course introduced me to painting, journaling, movement, and music as tools for self-discovery and stress relief. I realized that art is not just entertainment—it’s a way to process emotions, practice mindfulness, and reflect on personal growth. My biggest accomplishment was gaining the confidence to express myself openly through my work, exploring vulnerability and resilience. This course strengthened my self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and ability to cope with challenges, leaving me with lifelong tools for balance, creativity, and healing.
